Fabian Ringwald

CIO, Member of the Executive Board, SWICA

Fabian Ringwald has been Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Member of the Executive Board at SWICA, one of Switzerland's leading health and accident insurers, since October 2020. After studying computer science in Karlsruhe, he completed an MBA/EMBA at the University of Rochester and the University of Bern, as well as a Micro Master's in Supply Chain Management at MIT. With over 20 years of experience in the development of digital services and systems – including CRM, workflow management, and energy trading – he previously shaped the digital freight railway and data-based business models as IT manager at SBB Cargo. At SWICA, he is responsible for the horizontal integration of digital transformation and places particular emphasis on an agile mindset and a consistent focus on customer benefits and process innovation. Ringwald is considered a passionate digitaliser who sees technology as a lever for greater proximity to insured persons and employees.
